Todd Mikles
Chief Executive Officer
Todd Mikles has been the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sovereign Capital Management, Inc., a San Diego-based real estate company, since its inception in 1999. Todd Mikles has closed over $400,000,000 of transactions.
Prior to forming and heading up Sovereign Capital Management, Mr. Mikles has held various positions with various companies, including Amresco Advisors, a Dallas, Texas-based pension fund advisory company, offering investment services to pension funds for grocery anchored shopping centers in the Western United States; with Washington Capital Management, a Seattle, Washington-based investment advisory company offering investment services to pension funds for all types of developments; and with Lehman Brothers [Corporate Finance Division], a New York-based investment bank offering investment banking services to financial institutions in the Western United States on mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Mikles is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego.
Michael O'Leary
President
Before joining Sovereign in 2000, Mr. O'Leary served simultaneously as the President of a real estate investment company, TCB Properties, and as the President of a restaurant and entertainment business, E & P Brothers.
Mr. O'Leary has directed the formation of multiple private limited liability companies and has directed the acquisition, entitlement, management, leasing and/or disposition activities of over $200,000,000 of properties since 1994. Those properties consisted of multi-family, medical office building, general office buildings, flex industrial and land.
Mr. O'Leary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University and is also a licensed California real estate agent.
Jim Hadzicki
Executive Vice President
Investor Relations
Jim Hadzicki is responsible for investor relations and development at Sovereign Capital. Mr. Hadzicki served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations at OneVoice Technologies (ONEV.OB) in San Diego, California.
Jim has a degree in New Venture Management/Entrepreneurial Sciences from the University of Southern California.
Steven M. Kries, Esq.
General Counsel
Mr. Kries has been a practicing trial lawyer since 1993 and in-house litigation counsel since 1998. With a wealth of business, real estate, and banking experience, Mr. Kries provides Sovereign Capital with proactive and practical legal guidance.
Gary M. Bedoni, CPA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Gary graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois, earning a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He later earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Gary became certified to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California in July 1998. He has over ten years of public accounting experience, specializing in real estate and construction accounting. He has performed audits and prepared tax returns for real estate and construction clients since January 1998. He has worked for three years as an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller for a large property management company in the San Diego area.
Tiffany Peck
Financial Officer
Tiffany Peck has been employed by Sovereign Capital since 2004 as the Assistant Controller. Mrs. Peck graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Tiffany was previously employed by US Bank.
Chad Wardwell
Senior Financial Analyst
Chad Wardwell has been employed by Sovereign Capital since 2002 as a Senior Real Estate Analyst and graduated in 2003 from California State University San Marcos with a degree in Business Administration.
Mike Smith
Vice President - Operations
Michael Smith graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2003 with a degree in International Business.
Richard Castro
Project Sales Manager
Richard Castro has been employed by Sovereign Capital since 2002 as a Residential Project Sales Manager. Mr. Castro was previously employed by Prudential California.
